5. Artificial Intelligence

Several thimblely features use artificial intelligence. We want to be specific about what that means, because some of the information involved belongs to your clients rather than to you.

What AI does here. AI reads photographs of client books and receipts so the details do not have to be typed in again, turns WhatsApp messages and voice notes into orders, payments and measurements, drafts invoices and portfolio descriptions, categorises expenses, summarises your finances, and checks images and posts before they appear publicly.

Who processes it. These features are provided by Mistral AI, a company based in France. When you use one of the features above, the content it needs is sent to Mistral, processed, and the result is returned to your workspace. We do not send your data to any AI provider unless you use a feature that requires it.

Client information. If you photograph a client book, transcribe a voice note about an order, or ask for help with a measurement, the names, phone numbers and measurements in that content are part of what is sent. You are responsible for the client information you hold in thimblely, and for telling your clients how their details are handled, in the same way you are for any other record you keep about them.

The assistant is automated. The thimblely WhatsApp assistant is an AI system, not a person. It says so when you connect it. You can ask to speak to a human at any time and one of us will reply.

What AI does not decide. No AI system at thimblely makes a decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you. It drafts, extracts and suggests, and you confirm before anything is saved.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

We also use session analytics (Microsoft Clarity) to understand how visitors use our website, including anonymized recordings of page interactions such as clicks and scrolling; this helps us improve the experience and is never used to identify you personally.

Our service is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
